C4 Grand Picasso (2017 Engine Management light) I bought a 1.6 diesel C4 G Picasso in June of this year (2017 27k miles) and have had up to yesterday trouble free running. I must add that the vehicle is being seen tomorrow for a diagnostic under warranty, but I just wanted to put a couple of questions out there for the more technical minded

my 2007 Citroen C4 Grand Picasso petrol has only covered 39000 miles. Full service history and confirmed mileage. I recently noticed a knocking noise (only audible outside the car at tick over).
Citroen UK have not yet identified whether the fault is hardware or software related, so it could be several weeks before there is a "fix". Citroen will surely have to issue a RECALL & should in the meantime ensure that owners of the affected cars are advised that their cars are unsafe to drive in their present condition.

When running for the first time in the morning, some days (not every time) it misfires (the same as a petrol engine when the spark plug misses). You can reduce the problem by being very gentle with the throttle.

Joined: Aug 07 2006. Location: Northumberland. @aburcay - it's highly likely that the air bags have failed and if left for to long leaking, the compressor works too hard and burns out. The ECU failing is rare as is the ride height sensor which can cause issues with the suspension not raising.
Note-if you blank the egr a fault code will be logged in the engine ecu but it should not bring on an engine light on the dash and will eliminate any egr valve faults. Also blanking the egr valve should help prevent your dpf from blocking before its time.. Fault code descriptions for P1459 P0490 P0409. Fault code P1459.
